The call to follow Jesus is a call to become like him. All throughout the New Testament, the apostles encouraged the first believers to become established in the faith they had received. But what does “being established” look like? What is our responsibility in the process, and what is the role of the Holy Spirit?

The Teachings of the Faith is a story track designed to help you and your disciples wrestle through questions like these. In 21 stories from the Gospels, you will explore seven “First Principles” of the faith as outlined by the apostles in their letters to the early church. The stories unpack what it means for Christians to:
BECOME a new creation in Christ
BUILD UP thier families and communitites of faith
HONOR their neighbors and authorities
PREPARE for Christ's return
 
After learning these principles from walking with Jesus, the apostles used them as marks of maturity to establish new believers in the faith. Today, spiritual maturity is still the goal for all believers. The Teachings will empower you to help your disciples grow up into the image of Christ in accordance with the tradition of the apostles.
