Integrity and positive experience are two of our core values at FAMM. As such, we consider it our responsibility to inform our partners of how we collect and use their personal information. This privacy policy outlines the kind of information that we collect through our website and giving portal, the reasons we collect it, and the measures we take to protect it.

We do not use, share, or sell your information with anyone except as described in this policy. All information is used for the purpose of reaching, equipping, and sending the unreached and for the reciprocal edification of our partners.

If you have any questions about how FAMM collects or uses your information, or you would like to access, review, update, or delete any of your information from our records, please send an email to info@gofamm.org with “Privacy Policy” in the subject line.

This policy is effective as of August 28, 2019.

What We Collect

Personal information is any recorded information relating to the identification of a natural person. When you interact with the FAMM website, we may request personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, and postal address, among others, insofar as this information is required to provide you with any and all requested services. The type and level of information we collect is dependent on the sort of request you make through our website (including a subscription to our newsletter, an application for a short-term missions trip, a job application, etc.).

All of the personal information you choose to provide through FAMM’s website is clearly marked and submitted at your discretion. You can request the removal or withholding of your personal information from our records at any time. However, withholding this information (especially those items marked as “required” in our online forms) may hinder our ability to provide you with the resources or services being requested in that form.

In addition to this, your internet browser automatically communicates some information to us when you visit our site. Such information could include your Internet Protocol (IP) address and analytics on the way you interact with our site (pages visited, time spent on a page, date and time accessed, etc.). We may also employ a third-party service called Google Analytics to help us with this (read their Privacy Policy here. These analytics help us create a more effective and engaging user experience for you.

Our website also uses cookies to enhance the user experience. Cookies are small files transmitted between a website, your browser, and your device which may include an anonymous unique identifier. They make it easier for you to browse the internet by saving your passwords, remembering your site preferences, and so on. Cookies are considered an industry standard, but you can change your browser settings to disable them. However, disabling cookies may impact the full functionality of our site on your browser, so we recommend that you leave them enabled.

How We Use It

All information gathered through our site is used to achieve our vision of reaching the unreached, equipping them as obedient followers of Christ, and sending them as missionaries to their own people. As such, your personal information is sometimes shared within the ministry (as well as pertinent third parties, when required) only insofar as it is necessary for us to fulfill your requests. For example, information submitted on an STM application (including your date of birth and passport number) will be shared with our short-term missions department to create a logistical plan, enroll you in our online training course, and make key travel arrangements such as in-country lodging.

Periodically, FAMM uses the email addresses and mailing addresses we collect to send key ministry updates to our partners. When you submit your email (through our website, donation portal, trip application, etc.), it will be added to our mailing list. You may opt in or out of these updates at any time. To opt in to these updates, you can subscribe to our e-newsletter here; to opt out, click the “unsubscribe” link that is included at the bottom of all our updates. You can also update your mailing preferences by sending an email request to info@gofamm.org.

FAMM uses a third-party online payment portal called Pushpay to process, encrypt, and secure all financial information for donors (like credit card numbers). You can access their Privacy Policy here and their Security information here.

Also, our site is hosted through wix.com. Wix.com stores your information on a secure server behind a firewall through their databases and the general Wix.com application. You can access Wix.com's full privacy policy here.
